Choosing the correct size depends mostly on the babywearer's weight. With an unpadded sling, it is difficult to choose the incorrect size as unpadded slings are infinitely adjustable and you will be able to tighten or loosen the sling as much or as little as you need. If you are on the border between sizes, go with the smaller size if you want a shorter tail and go with the larger size if you want a longer tail. Often items, people like to use the tail of the sling to use to cover baby (while nursing or in inclement weather) while other times, people like a shorter tail so that it is not hanging down to their knees!
