The adjustable fleece pouch I ordered arrived this afternoon, and I just had to write and tell you how much I love it. My 10-week-old daughter and I had tried the Baby Bjorn (which she sometimes liked, but what a production getting in and out of!) and the New Native Baby Carrier (which she always hated). I had doubts that she'd like ~any~ sling, but I put her in the pouch and she took a look around and smiled. The quality is fabulous, the fleece is so comfy; it has just the right amount of stretch -- it's just great. Thanks for making such a perfect product. Kristin and Lucy, 10 weeks.
I received my fleece pouch and I am so much more pleased with it than I was with the OTSBH! It's really a wonderful sling--soft, not flashy, easily washable and folds up easily without wrinkling! We just got back from [Las Vegas] with Aidan (who will be 1 on Monday) and he is just about 26 lbs now. I used the pouch to carry him around when we were walking the strip. We had the stroller but it was too much of a pain and I felt better holding him. The weather was in the 70's during the day while we were out there. neither Aidan or I got too warm while we were out walking. And we were walking for a good 2 hours or so. We both love this pouch. I had a lot of compliments on it and inquiries on where to get one. I was quick to give positive reviews to the pouch and this site. I just have to tell you guys how awesome my pouch is. My son Jacob (9months and over 20lbs) LOVES it, and has since we got it. I take him everywhere in it, and I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments I have received. I LOVE MY POUCH!!!!!!!!! I love it so much I'm going to get another one in a different color! Really - he only wants to fall asleep in arms now, so my pouch is really really helpful. My husband will only wear Jacob in the pouch and we have quite a few other slings and carriers to choose from. Just got the fleece pouch today and it is totally AWESOME!!! My 6 1/2 lb former 31 week preemie daughter fits perfectly, nice and snug, and she loves it. Curled right up against me and went to sleep the very first time. I really love how snug the pouch is - no extra, bulky fabric. It's great for preemies; wish I had had it a month ago! Hi, I received my fleece pouch today and just had to write and thank you so much! My son is 8 weeks old and pretty much hates my fabric sling, I had given up hope of being able to use one round the house. I got the pouch this morning and as I write this he is sleeping in it, at 8pm in the evening, his crying time! I put him in the pouch to do some chores and he fell asleep and hasn't even woken up now I am sitting down! Best of all he even spent some time in it awake and not crying which he never did with my other sling. It is such a relief to have this sling, I just know we're going to get on brilliantly with it and it's such a weight off my mind to know I won't have to keep leaving him crying in his chair when I have to do other things. I have been using my new pouch everyday and totally love it! You were right, it just needed some getting used to. I have found my favorite positions and time of day for use. So has my 3 month old daughter, Sabrina. Just this morning she was fussing, and I tried everything...diaper change, floor play, even nursing and she still was quite cranky. I decided to put her in the pouch and just try to get some work done around the house while she was figuring out whether to fall asleep or not. She lingered in the half awake/half asleep mode for about an hour while I did laundry, folded clothes and cleaned up the breakfast table. She finally fell into a deep enough sleep so that I could sit down at the computer for a while (which of course doesn't happen when she's awake) It's all because she was snuggled in close to me and didn't have to fall asleep until she was ready. Your product arrived at my box yesterday. Two hours later, my 20-year old cat and I were walking down our dock in our new fuzzy attire! The mosaic colors so nicely compliment Wheezie's black coat as well as my own--it's festive as well and warm as can be. I have about 7 other carriers - from the Bjorn pack, Kelty Kangaroo, slings, etc..., and this fleece sling is the BEST!!! I have worn it on walks for over an hour and my back doesn't hurt and the sling doesn't dig into my neck and shoulders like the other cotton slings. What an awesome product!!! I feel like I'm a salesperson when people ask about it.
I just wanted to thank you for my fleece pouch. It arrived about 5 days after my lil girl was born, and I've been putting her in it ever since. I am so pleased w/ the craftmanship of it, and she is snug as a bug in it, even as I'm sitting here typing this! I have a few pregnant friends and I'm definitely going to tell them how great your fleece pouches are. I had a Nojo when my son was born and it was the worst, always giving me back pain. With the pouch, I've had no back pain, even after going on a 2 mile walk! Being the mama of a busy toddler and a newborn can be hard, but the pouch certainly makes the "load" a lil lighter. I got the new fleece sling in Medium today, put Matias in it (7 weeks old) and he's sound asleep within 10 minutes. It is much tighter than the size L so it was harder to squeeze him in (he's like a little sausage), but he's SO happy that I think I'll just leave him here for the night. Wish I had his snow suit on so I could take him out for a walk. Thank you for making the new one. I think we're off to a beautiful relationship!
I just had to email to tell you how much I love the fleece pouch sling! It's the first sling that really works for my son -- at 4 months old, he's already 23 lbs and so chunky and heavy that he always seems like an off-balance rock in other slings :-) This pouch is perfect, it keeps him in place, and it's stretchy and snug and I love it! I just LOVE my Kangaroo Korner fleece pouch! I get compliments everywhere I go. I don't think people here in Alabama are used to seeing slings - much less pouches!
Tanya, that pouch is great. We used it this morning, and it was sooooo cozy....[my daughter] puts her face in it when we are outside and she can breathe plus keep it warm! I have only one complaint. My older ones keep unsnapping it and trying to use it as a car blanket LOL! I also tried this in the back position and it was really comfy - she seemed to get a kick out of the material, being so warm...it was pretty cool last night, and she really snuggled down into it. Ok, I HAVE to rave about this pouch! I wore it yesterday for my kids' school's Fall Fun Festival. It was cold, and [my daughter] was in it for about an hour, then she ran around with her sister for an hour, and then came back and asked me to put her back in. This doesn't hurt my shoulder/back like my sling does. I am reaching for something to criticize as I want my feedback to help you in both ways but I really don't have any complaints! It is a nice warm pouch - not like we need something real warm here with our hot weather but I used it today to walk home from school with the kids and my daughter was fine in it. Just wanted to say really quickly, that I got more comments (and noticed more gawkers) from this pouch than I have with all my other slings. I think because it had that stretchy, hammocky feel to it and my son was just so relaxed looking, everyone took notice. It's so funny because generally he HAS to have his arms out but today he was actually pushing them down into the pouch on his own! That is saying a lot for the comfort of this sling! It felt wonderful to me too. It seriously felt like a nice little hug...my back has been bothering me a bit and whenever possible I've just let my son ride in the cart at the store but today I was determined to try out the pouch and I was really amazed that my back actually felt better with it on. I really loved wearing this. It was very comfy and warm. Wind chill is below zero here and I wore my daughter outside to and from the car. I wore her for 1 1/2 hours then went somewhere else and wore her for another 1 1/2 hours for a total of 3 hours back to back. This is so wonderfully soft and snug and cozy and yet it gives just enough. I have never seen a fleece pouch before and it is the perfect fabric I think! I really want you to know that these pouches are the coolest I have ever used or seen! Last night I used it when went to the store, I was walking outside and waiting for the bus (it was really cold here in Oregon and the wind was blowing hard). With my son in the pouch we were both so snuggly and comfy and warm! Other moms have said it feels like a hug, it really does!! I'm sorry to gush about it, but I really like it. Everyone in Toys 'R Us was staring at it too, trying to figure it out and admiring it! I love this pouch! I have been having problems with my back while wearing slings... I can wear this pouch for at least *twice* as long before I even feel a twinge (I think this will get even better as I get used to it). It is so soft and warm I just wear it all the time around the house and pop my son in it as needed.. this is really great as we have a tri-level and it allows me to go up and down those stairs easier while carrying my son (I even get to carry things to put away! LOL!). He seems to like being in the pouch as well, and snuggled right in during our shopping trip yesterday, I even wore it yesterday evening when my son wanted to snuggle and we were playing a board game, he snuggled up against my chest and I could still use my hands to play! Thanks so much for making these... we have a Baby Trekker that my husband uses occasionally, but I have had little luck using a carrier, this pouch has allowed me to try again and succeed. - Sunni and her 3 month old son
