Wrap-Style Slings
A wrap-style sling is simply a piece of fabric which is folded, tied and knotted in a variety of ways. Wrap-slings can be categorized into two types: woven and knit. Woven wrap-slings (Didymos and Bali Baby Breeze) provide a lot of support and are great for heavier children. They can also easily be used for back wearing at all ages (yes, even with a newborn). Knit wrap-slings (Bali Baby Stretch) do not provide as much support, although the stretchy fabric is generally more comfortable for long periods of time, making them perfect for use with newborns and small infants.
